Karen Smith has served as the Vice President of Finance at Altimmune since September 2020. She has over twenty years of experience leading finance organizations at both pharmaceutical and government consulting companies. Prior to joining Altimmune, Ms. Smith served as SVP of Finance for ICF, where she managed the Financial Planning and Analysis, Government Compliance and Financial Reporting Systems organizations. While at ICF, Karen also served as the employee engagement and culture officer for the 100+ employees within the finance organization. Prior to ICF, she served as the Head of Finance for both the Global Engineering and Biologics Manufacturing Organizations at AstraZeneca. Before joining AZ, she was VP of Finance and Treasury for CACI International, Inc. Karen holds an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University.
