Tony Blandin has served as Vice President, Quality and Compliance Management at Altimmune since February 2022. He was most recently VP, Quality Assurance at Assertio Therapeutics leading all aspects of Quality Assurance including interacting cross-functionally with Manufacturing/Technical Operations/Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Operations where he successfully managed 2 FDA Pharmacovigilance inspections resulting in no 483s being issued. Serving in the Senior Quality leadership role, Mr. Blandin oversaw the integration of Assertio Therapeutics and Zyla Life Sciences Quality Systems in 2020, where he was previously VP, Quality Assurance.
Mr. Blandin has more than 30 years of diversified experience and leadership in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Technical Operations, and manufacturing holding senior leadership roles in the US with companies including Assertio Therapeutics, Auxilium/Endo Pharmaceuticals, Graceway Pharmaceuticals, Novavax and Sanofi S.A. Expertise includes areas such as strategic and operational leadership, Quality Assurance, Quality Operations Management, FDA/cGMP Regulatory Compliance, Tech Transfer, and cGMP audits. Mr. Blandin is certified through the American Society of Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Mr. Blandin is a member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ), International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) and the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Gwynedd Mercy University.
