Robin E. Abrams is an accomplished leader in life sciences with extensive experience in executive roles in legal, compliance, and operations. Prior to joining Altimmune as General Counsel, she founded and served as the Principal of Point Jetty Consulting LLC, providing strategic advice to biotech and life science companies. Previously, Robin served as the Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Agenus Inc., a public immuno-oncology company. In that role, Robin built and managed a talented, business-oriented team that handled the legal and compliance work of the parent clinical stage oncology company as well as its cell therapy (MiNK, Nasdaq: INKT) and vaccine adjuvant (SaponiQx) subsidiaries supporting all operational activities including corporate governance, SEC compliance, financing, transactions, discovery, manufacture, research and development and commercial launch preparation. Prior to Agenus, Robin was the General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer at SIGA Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIGA), where she played a key role in FDA approval of their lead anti-viral product (TPOXX), and the successful award and management of multiple government contracts for development and procurement of TPOXX. While at SIGA, Robin simultaneously served as the Executive Chair of the Board of Directors at vTv Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: VTVT), a public clinical stage biotech company developing new therapies for Alzheimer’s and metabolic diseases, where she had previously held the position of Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer on a fractional basis. Robin began her career as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she served as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and Coordinator of the Health Care Fraud group. Robin holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif (highest academic honor) and editor of the New York University Law Review. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University, earning a B.A. with Distinction in History and Government.
