Teri Lawver has served as a member of the Altimmune Board of Directors since February 2025. Ms. Lawver currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Celldex. Previously, she served as Principal and Owner of Theralifescience Advisors where she advised innovative life science companies. She is the former Chief Commercial Officer at Dexcom where she was responsible for Dexcom’s worldwide commercial organization of over 1,900 employees and $4B in annual revenue across more than 50 countries. At Dexcom, she and her team introduced the industry’s first over-the-counter glucose biosensor, marking Dexcom’s entry into the consumer wearable technology space.
Prior to joining Dexcom, Ms. Lawver was an executive at Johnson & Johnson, where she led significant and diverse global business units over her 20-year tenure. As the Worldwide Vice President for Janssen Immunology, Ms. Lawver spearheaded the portfolio transformation for Johnson & Johnson’s immunology division, growing annual revenue from $11B to $16B despite a patent loss on the division’s largest product. Previously, Ms. Lawver was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where she served as an advisor to Fortune 100 CEOs and Boards of Directors in the firm’s New Jersey, Atlanta, and Sao Paolo offices. Her work at McKinsey & Company focused on product portfolio strategy and commercial excellence across the healthcare, consumer products, and industrial manufacturing sectors. Ms. Lawver began her career as a Derivatives Analyst at Bloomberg Financial Markets.
Ms. Lawver has deep experience architecting product line and portfolio transformations, including L&A and partnership strategies, across diverse and dynamic global business environments. She is known for bringing clarity to complex challenges, her facility connecting strategy with operational excellence, and her expertise in building commercial capabilities across a range of go-to-market models.
An experienced board director for non-profit organizations, she served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Episcopal Relief & Development, where she previously served as Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, and on the Executive Committee. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and the Board of Trustees for Seminary of the Southwest. She is an active community philanthropist, supporting organizations focused on access to healthcare, food security, and education.
Ms. Lawver earned an MBA from Duke University where she was a Fuqua Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science Degree, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University.
She and her husband are the proud parents to two grown children, and reside in Princeton, NJ.
